The master bedroom had been on the list since we moved in. When we finally got to it, England decided to provide one of its coldest winters in years as the backdrop — which made working in an unheated room with limited space a genuinely uncomfortable experience.

The cold slowed things down and required some creative sequencing to keep the disruption manageable, but the project got done. A room that had felt tired and temporary now feels finished and calm — somewhere worth coming back to at the end of the day.
