The shed that came with the house was doing the bare minimum: keeping things dry, just about. A leaking roof and poorly used floor space made it more of a liability than an asset.

For this garden shed upgrade, I replaced the roof to make it properly watertight, then designed and built a custom slide-out storage unit inside — sized specifically to house my table saw during the summer months, pulling it out of the main shed when the weather allowed. Since the table saw moved into the Mobile Workbench, the slide-out now holds the garden chairs. Same principle, different cargo.

It is a small project, but it set the tone for how I think about every space in the house: nothing should be doing less than it could be.
